Orienteering

Orienteering is modern outdoor sport, where the task of the competitor is to be as fast as possible on his course. The route is set by control points, where is in reality white-orange flag with special electronic device for recording of passing the control to be found. Every competitor has his own chip, which has to be put into the box on the control. Passing the control is marked in fraction of a second and after that competitor can continue to following control. Every competitor chooses his own route between controls – someone runs through heavy terrain over the hill, another one chooses longer but faster road. So the physical preparedness isn’t the only  decisive factor in orienteering as keeping a cool head and taking the best routechoice has as well big impact on the final result.
