We have to cancel Euromeeting 2020

Dear all,

after the announcement of new anticovid restrictions by the Government of the Czech Republic last night, we don’t want to prolong the uncertainty and tension and had to decide on a very unpopular step: CANCEL EUROMEETING.

Until the last moment, we believed, adjusted the plan of the whole event, addressed epidemiological measures, informed the teams… But in the current conditions we are not able to organize the event. 

Situation in CZE: Yesterday’s decision limits the gathering of people to a maximum of 6, closes schools and restaurants. Everything is valid until 3rd November 2020. There is also a possibility of border closure in case of gradation of epidemiological situation. 

Accommodation: All the accommodation ordered via organizers will be automatically cancelled, in case you still would like to use it, please let us know on the email accommodation@woc2021.cz as soon as possible. 

Training possibilities: As the current limit of grouping is set at maximum of 6, any group activities are more or less illegal until the restrictions are lifted up. Training in WOC training areas is still possible, but on an individual basis only in groups of up to 6.

Teams who are still planning to come are encouraged to get in touch with Radek Novotny (trainings@woc2021.cz) to consult a proper solution for their needs.

Spring: In the next few weeks we will try to set out the information about a possible change of term to March.
