WOC 2021 training areas are no longer embargoed
The WOC organiser has received the approval of the National Sports Agency of the Czech Republic, allowing all foreign teams and individual athletes an exemption from the currently valid entry restrictions to the Czech Republic. This exemption means that it is possible for teams and athletes to travel to the Czech Republic for training in preparation for the World Orienteering Championships 2021.
Any team or athlete wishing to travel to the Czech Republic must contact the organisers in advance to obtain the appropriate documents like invitation and the arrivals form to be completed. Contact trainings@woc2021.cz to receive the required documents and information about the administrative routines required, and also to receive an update on the current Covid-19 restrictions in place in the Czech Republic.
Through this exemption opportunity the IOF and organisers have agreed that the requirements for equal access to training for WOC 2021 have been achieved and therefore the embargo of the WOC training areas is lifted as of Friday December 4th. Updated embargo maps may be found on the organisers webpage and via IOF Eventor.
We are thankful to the National Sports Agency of the Czech Republic for this opportunity and ask member federations, teams and individual athletes to make sure they are informed about and respect the valid Covid-19 regulations when visiting for training.
